#Displaylink usb graphics software for ubuntu drivers
This problem can occur if 3rd party USB graphics drivers are installed, before installing DisplayLink software. I have been trying for weeks to get this working and it's really frustrating - hopefully someone can help me out here, I just want to be able to use another monitor via my usb3.0 port and purchased this Kensington adapter to do so - but alas it's not working. It is not possible to use USB graphics from different vendors with DisplayLink software and devices. The latest version of the DisplayLink USB Graphics Software, build 1.1.62, is available now for all supported Ubuntu Linux operating system, including Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr), Ubuntu 15.10 (Wily Werewolf), and Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus). I have also run the DL support Tool found at: The driver enables video support for products using DisplayLink USB graphics technology. This version has yet to be validated on a minimal set of DisplayLink based Targus Universal Docking Stations (UDS) but should work. So I know that it has recognised the displaylink on the USB bus. DisplayLink released the driver software Release 5.3.1 adding support for Ubuntu 20.04. However, Whenever I connect my usb 3.0 to dvi/vga adapter - ubuntu does not recognise a screen is attached.īus 001 Device 006: ID 17e9:430f DisplayLink
